This year’s soiree was a magical milestone. The 70th Annual Mayflower Ball, a truly elegant evening on New York’s Upper East Side, was held at the Union Club with the dulcet tones of the Alex Donner orchestra providing music to dance the night away. This platinum jubilee event celebrated six exceptional young ladies, representing many different societies (Massachusetts, New Jersey and Texas in addition to New York), and highlighting their unique talents (a premed/ EMT in training, a graphic artist entrepreneur, a skilled markswoman, a future fashion designer, an Ivy League Model Congress Conference Chair, and a marine conservationist documentarian). It is the common thread of lineage, coupled with a national scope, that set the Mayflower debutante ball apart from others. Our distinctive heritage, and our embracing cousinage, witness these presentations each year – recognizing accomplishments and legacy – while maintaining a lifelong relationship with our alumnae debs. We are immensely proud of these junior members and look forward to learning about their future successes.
Next year – with a greater number of anticipated debutantes and another sold-out event – we will be returning to the University Club. As Governor Emeritus Steve Madsen so eloquently and accurately remarks each year, “Purchase your Ball tickets as soon as the invitation has been mailed. You will not regret being the early bird who gets to go to the Ball.” We hope you have marked your calendars for Saturday, November 8, 2025 and plan to join us.
